If you are like me then you have alot of RSS feed in your Google Reader Account and now with My RSS Reader app for WP7 by sjarawan from youtube you will be able to enjoy your feeds on WP7.
According to the developer you can manage your feeds ( which includes adding new feeds, move feeds to new or existing folders and even unsubscribe from existing fees ). Feeds are downloaded which will enable users to perform offline reading. Feed items can be twittered, sent to Instapaper, Read it Later, email or open the drill into links inside the app or launch the browser. You can also view the live feed to see items you may have already marked as read. There is also support to “favorite” an item or share an item with Google Reader. Google Reader Starred, Shared & Notes are available but can be hidden from the settings menu.
This is just a quick one about an idea that’s been going around in my head for the past week or so.
Now, I code in c# but I am by no means an expert, actually I am still very much a beginner considering how huge the world of programming can get & there is no way on earth I could figure out how to test this Idea. Still, I wanted to share this little ‘epiphany’ I had.
Over at WMPowerUser, they have provided us all with a shot of a device’s Bluetooth SIG entry which tells us quite a bit about the Samsung Cetus, a WindowsPhone 7 device, including some of its features!
kitron is working of WP7 Apps and Games and have released a few video of their upcoming work on youtube. In the demo for Hangman for WP7 you will see the classic game in action on the WP7 emulator. The interface looks quite nice and it looks like there will be multiple categories you can choose from. He has also posted a Tip Calculator ( click to view )
WP7 Apps and ( lets not forget WP7 games ) are popping up every where ( granted they are tech demos on emulator n all, but I have to say there seems to be strong developer interest in the platform ). So I am pretty sure there will be quite a lot of apps and games ready for launch. I have seen some amazing demos ( some of which I can talk about just yet ) and they are quite amazing.
Every one will have some favorite apps that they use often. So my question to you folks is
? What are the Apps you would use on your WP7 ? ( 3rd part apps , not stock stuff )
Few things that I would use quite often will be ( any developers working on these feel free to drop us a line )
In a recent PocketNow article they got a tip saying WP7 can open up zip files from a webpage and you can view the content in the zip file.
“Windows Phone 7 emulator is actually able to open ZIP files that you may click on from a website. A window will appear asking if you want to open the Zip file, then a new window will show the contents of the Zip file. If any of the files are of formats that are supported by the operating system, you’ll be able to open those as well.
But they also state that WP7 will not support PDF at launch, now that is disappointing. What do you guys think ?
Finally we have an early look at a photo editing app on WP7. Photo Caption allows you to add text, speech or thought bubbles, and create outlined posters on your WP7 device. The app is developed by PelnorSoftware an a demo video of the app was released on youtube which outlined some of the features of the app.
Sammy: I purchased this app a few days ago, and to my horror, it doesnt work, at all. I have got a fully working HD2, and the software does not work – refund has been requested. I wont not...
Sebastian: is there a version for WinMo 6.5 planned and where i can get this software?
CrisRowlands: I hope my ‘artist impression’ drawings looked professional enough
kitron: Actually some apps have that feature, they will ask you to calibrate before using.
Nabeel Ahmed: I myself find it troublesome to use G-sensor based apps when angle is changed. Its an nice trick which developers should consider to use in the future.
Murani Lewis: These aren’t new features. Check other demos of Microsoft execs on stage at events. They have Pin codes on the lock screens all the time and joke that everyone now knows their...
harold stratton: 5 MP camera is good enough…If you know how to use a camera and take advantage of the settings then you should take good pictures.
smoothcrooner: No Super AMOLED?, No way. Where is the love for WP7, Samsung? 5MP camera?. Even the Taylor, the demo WP7 demo phone has an 8MP camera. If this phone doesn’t come with a Super...
