May 5, 2013 | 34

Well these are not just for Windows Phone Developers, Windows 8 developers and any Windows fan that loves the Metro design ( yeah that is right I called it Metro, I think Modern UI is lame and frankly speaking I don’t suppose a lot of you like the new name either ). We have seen some Windows Phone Business Card designs in the past one, two and today we plan to add some more really cool designs that you can use as your next business card.

Windows Phone 8.1 Blue Concept

April 25, 2013 | 48

The next version of Windows is already on his way. Windows 8.1 builds recently leaked onto the web, and includes a lot of new things. The border between desktop, tablet and phone is increasingly shrinking.

My concept improve the idea of cloud-syncing – all settings you care about, files, preferences and browser favorites are always sync between all kind of Windows 8 devices. I also focus on the system introduction during the first loading – short presentation of most important Windows Phone features. This is a good way for people who try Windows Phone for the first time to get to know the platform in an easy and accessible way.

Facebook reimagined for Windows Phone

February 9, 2013 | 33

0

Last week we asked you ( also on reddit ) – how would you change Facebook on Windows Phone.  I must admit for the the great discussion were listed many of the problems of the app.

I summarize all issues and they are:

  • Background notifications preferences – update interval, separate notifications for different events, friends, settings for vibrate and audio alert, Notifications within the app on/off
  • Keeping scroll position when return from a picture, profile or link
  • Automatic link detection within the app
• Better and easy sharing options for messages, photos, videos and links
  • More post and status options – preview, hide / show, edit and delete
  • More options for uploading and downloading photos and videos – mass upload/delete
  • Online friends list
  • Text and voice chat
  • Ability for dark and light theme
  • Saving screen size with better UI optimization, hiding the top panel and bottom buttons – there is no need to see all the time the facebook logo

The downside of web apps is they are very limited – but according to some of your comments - touch.facebook.com is more powerful than the native facebook app.

Now we will try to change that with today’s concept. Here is the visual part – refresh news feed and new way to access most used features.

Concept app for Online Booking

January 31, 2013 |

We now live in an era where practically everything is inextricable from the Internet, including business. It’s now crucial that every business – no matter the sector – has a recognizable web presence, because the Internet replaced the phone book – now, when I’m looking for someone – not always first search is in my search engine, but directly on Maps or in a social network. Not only does Internet technology help finding and contacting business, but now helps them in online booking (or reservation) systems.

And this is my concept for online booking application for Windows Phone with clean and sample interface – for quick search and booking your next appointment.

On the home screen you can see all available objects and browse through them, or search directly for specific services or business. You can make an account to track the history of your schedule, check your current commitments, and to pay directly through the app. The next screens represent an ordinary booking of sports court.

Surface Phone Concept

January 23, 2013 | 17

What caused the problems of Windows Phone on a global scale – I often think that Windows Phone is supposed to have a bigger market share. The Microsoft’s platform is beautiful, fast and secure. There are a large number of OEM manufacturers and most popular applications has a WP version. Then what is the problem? The lack of unique application? The lack of a unique hardware? Crowded market? The limitations of the platform? Bad reputation? There is no clear answer to these questions.
If Microsoft wants users to abandon iOS or Android and to move to their platform, they have to offer an own unique proposal. Something that others can not. Although Windows Phone is an amazing operating system with an innovative and futuristic interface and amazing design, it offers nothing more than the products of Apple and Google.

Welcome to another year of Concepts – 2013 – It is a time of great innovation and technological advancement. I read all comments and take all good ideas from my latest post - Build your dream device running Windows Phone. Thanks for everyone – there were really good and bold ideas.

Ultimate tiletool concept app

November 18, 2012 | 11

It starts with the tile. Live tiles are the heart and soul of the Windows phone. It’s a simple and elegant thing, but so powerful.
You now what is the Windows Phone moto – “Put people first” and this concept will be about people – about us and making our own tiles.
In quite a few of my previous concepts may notice a customized Live Tiles, such as not applicable in real applications. But now we have Windows Phone 8 – developed, better and much closer to Windows 8 than we can imagine. I hope so not only to dream but to see more interactive live tiles, with more options for customization and actions with them.

Opera Mobile for Windows Phone

November 8, 2012 | 19

This is one of the longest made concepts, with many changes and added things. I hope you enjoy it.
This is one of the There are several known browser among which you can choose. The choice of each is dictated by personal needs and desires. Generally I’m not interested in percentages and graphs of browser’s usage. Everything is relative and changeable. Personally I use several browsers on my PC I use each of them for different purposes. Opera is one of the famous browsers in the world and one of the Big five. I use it on my PC and on my Android device. Also I’ve tried the unofficial homebrew version for my Windows Phone.

Currently Opera has a similar look at all mobile platforms – for Android, for iOS, for Windows Mobile and the ported homebrew version – different platforms – same look. I’m sure this is a company policy and of course – is a brand. Nothing prevents the Opera developer team to release an official version for Windows Phone with the same familiar look and completely to ignore the Windows Phone requirements. I’ll try to change that, and I will present my vision for transformed Opera for Windows Phone.

VLC Media Player for Window Phone [ Concept ]

October 28, 2012 | 21

VLC Media Player is by far one of the best video players I have ever used. It gives novice users a great experience from the basic installation and experienced users can customized and configured to suit it to their needs. The player also receives frequent updates to add more features and fix issues. VLC and its source code are maintained by the all-volunteer VideoLAN Organization and the software is open-source. Today we take a look at a design Concept by a new designer MetroUX who I am hoping will be frequent around these parts from now on. This design has taken the Metro Modern UI concept in to consideration.

[Concept] Google Chrome for Windows Phone

October 12, 2012 | 33

This is my concept for alternative browser for Windows Phone. Currently The Windows Phone Software Development Kit (SDK) does not allow sufficient access to the lower level code required to create their own browsers, while in the next version it may well be possible. This will allow third party developers to port and develop apps (such as browsers) to Windows Phone much easier.

The possible existence of third party browsers will be welcome news for people that want more choices or just don’t like IE. This motivates me to provide a competitive product for the audience of Windows Phone – Chrome – one of my personal favorite desktop browsers. It’s not as clean, beautiful and fast as Internet Explorer 10, but (in my personal experience) it’s better in other situations. The most important and useful feature for me is the sync option between all devices with Chrome – this bring my open tabs, bookmarks and Omnibox data from my computer to my phone or tablet. You will notice that concept is made of several ideas, not only for Chrome, but for Windows Phone 8 too. I combine real features with my ideas – all in the name of good experience.

[Next level] Office for Windows Phone

October 4, 2012 | 16

Welcome to Concepts again. The summer is over now, all vacations and troubles are finished and we back in business. This will be the first concept of this season. You will notice that concept is made of several ideas, not only for Office, but for Windows Phone 8 too. I combine real features with my ideas – all in the name of good experience.
Microsoft introduce recently the preview of the new Office. It’s a powerful service that helps you unleash your best ideas, get things done and stay connected on the go. It’s amazing new product with a lot of new features and visual enhancements. Experience Office at its best on Windows 8 devices – from your home PC, tablet and now on your phone. Access what matters from the start with a fast and fluid interface that puts your most-important documents, applications and people right up front. The new Office will use the bigger screens on Windows Phone 8 devices and will show more and rich user interface, and still will be easy to use. There is also new visual shared clipboard, that can be accessed any in the phone and that allows you to copy multiple objects as text, images and URLs and use it anytime.

Instagram – A beautiful way to share your world

Well, I’m still alive :), I was just not active for a while – but I’m ready with several cool stuff and concepts for Windows Phone.
Today’s concepts is for the famous photo sharing application – Instagram – A beautiful way to share your world. A long time Instagram was available only for iPhone, but recently was released and for Android Phones. All filters and community features are the same across iOS and Android but with more metro and clean interface. And this is and it is difficult to achieve – to make one big colorful program to something light and metro-like.

Next level concept – Weave news reader for Windows Phone

August 6, 2012 | 9

If you follow Seles Games on twitter, you’ll be notice that Weave will reach the Next level – Weave 4.0 Beta is in process. Weave is featuring a gorgeous interface and lightning-fast performance, and offers a fresh take on your favorite websites. The first time you start Weave, simply choose the categories you are interested in, and you are ready to start reading articles at your leisure and enjoyment!
The goal of Weave 4.0 is to be much more easy to use, cleaner, and streamlined, while at the same time retaining the features “power-users” like to use (things like mark all read, extensive feed management, etc.). There are tons of new features and completely new interface. I already test the beta and I’m really happy with the update. However – I always has a lot of ideas and now I’ll share with you.

[Experiment] Concept USB Drive

July 27, 2012 | 10

This and the next years are one of the most important years for Microsoft. They entirely reimagine three of their main products – Windows, Phone and Office.

[Concept] Nokia Music 2.0

July 19, 2012 | 26

Currently Nokia Music works as a general music player but with a location-aware twist. You also get access to the Nokia Music store, which is an alternative to the Zune Marketplace.
As a music player, it’s pretty standard – your tracks are sorted by artist, album, playlists or you can view all songs. The interface is very similar to that of the stock Zune player, but under the album art it lists the next three songs to be played – really helpful if you’re using shuffle. There’s no way to manually reorder the upcoming songs, but you can reshuffle them if there’s one you don’t like. Zune in the phone is pretty much the same – as a simple and straightforward interface with no settings or extra functions. However there are some things missing, like an equalizer. Another missing feature is the ability to scrub through a song with your finger – you have to press and hold on the FF/rewind buttons to simply jump back and forth.
Don’t get me wrong – they are beautiful and do that is design for, but sometime we need more than just the basic player. In Marketplace we can find a lot of music players, but they all are poor in function and vision. Actually I’m really surprise that there is no single application with nice interface and functions other than shuffle.
That is going to change with this concept. I’m gonna to develop the idea what should be the player.

Nokia Navigation Concept – Drive, Maps, Transit and City lens in one place

July 12, 2012 | 12

When it comes to mobile mapping services, Nokia is the king. Nokia Maps has been Nokia’s killer location based service for years and now and together with Nokia Drive is offering free navigation for everyone. With the new Windows Phone 8 update Nokia Drive will become in every Windows Phone device. The new Windows Phone 8 will support offline maps, turn by turn directions, and will give developers access to map control and use the high quality global NAVTEQ mapping data. The basic idea in my concept is the availability Nokia Maps, Drive, Transport and City Lens to work together as one application. I named this app – Nokia Navi. Enables rich, customizable location-based navigation system with complete functionality for Maps, Positioning, Places, Directions, Traffic and more.

[ Concept ] If Microsoft made a Windows Phone Hardware ..

Microsoft Surface Phone Concept

Microsoft Surface Phone Concept

Here is a rather beautiful concept for a Windows Phone Hardware designed and developed by Microsoft. A few weeks ago the idea would have been laughed at, and you guys would have flooded the comments section with ” Microsoft is a Software Company ” , ” Microsoft will not want to get on the bad side of OEM’s with such a move” , etc. But the Surface Tablets from Microsoft changed all that. Right now a Windows Phone Hardware from Microsoft is not too far fetched … there are even talks about Microsoft moving to buy Nokia and doing exactly this ( but they are just rumors at this stage ).

Skype integrated throughout Windows Phone – concept 2.0

Skype 2.0

Skype 2.0

Welcome to the new Skype 2.0 concept. Ever since Microsoft purchased Skype, we knew that the popular VoIP client was bound to end up complementing the Windows Phone platform. And sure enough, Windows Phone 8 comes with Skype integration, as it was officially stated yesterday during the Microsoft Developer Summit. That means Windows Phone users won’t have their Skype client going offline once it is suspended. In fact any VoIP client on Windows Phone 8 will be allowed to work in the background and now phone is able to receive an incoming Skype call just like any other call. Here is the example of the Skype toast system:
