Build an idea #8 - What is your ideas for future concepts
Welcome to the new way to build concepts and this time I’ll ask about your ideas for new concepts. Tell me if want to see existing app – but redesign, or app that is not currently available for Windows Phone. I have a real Windows Phone device less than a month, but I notice that there are so many apps that needs hard redesign. The only thing that’s really miss me from my Android is the Bookreader.
So, tell me – What is your ideas for future concepts?

I would love to see how you would arrange the Skype integration.
Also an overhaul of the WhatsApp messenger.

I want a Pandora app that works internationally. Bit selfish ? Perhaps even very much so, but being an old MetroRadio user, I got spoiled …
I would love to see an app for public transport with unique Metro UI, subway map and augmented reality function.
I would like to see some concepts about media players. Olso will be to see some sport tracking apps, public transport and travel apps. Unfortunately now Android and iPhone has better and more useful and looking apps. There are so many missing apps from the Marketplace and I want to see them.
No idea what APIs are available in WP but I wouldn’t mind seeing something like Motorola’s Smart Actions that is on the latest RAZR if it were possible
I was thinking (and tweeting) earlier about how stupid it seems to me that Microsoft launched WindowsPhone without a default eBook reader.
This has left developers no option other than A) make an ebook reader which connects to a online store to get new books or B) create a seperate app for every single new story. The second option is the easier of the two, plus if you charge for every new book, thats a lot more income than a single ebook reader.
HOWEVER. I wonder what you think an eBook reader would look like if Microsoft had created their own (which kept to all the regular formats etc). If I was actually working with Microsoft making an app like this myself, I would try and include some kind of eBook marketplace within the app which aggregates stock listings from a number of different online eBook retailers, so you dont have to sideload them or have to have seperate apps for each and every retailer.
Also, what else could you do with an eReader app? What possibilities are there which havent been taken advantage of yet by others?
Id really love to see what you can come up with for this :)
Its not totally app concept but its concept about OS. I really really really … hate what WP 7.5 did with the search button, now its ONLY “Bing search app” button, it was perfect functioning in the 7.0. This is the reason I am really disappointed.
This is really sereous for me, this is cause I have switch back to Nokia Belle.

Microsoft Reader will be discontinued 30MAR2012. If it were available in WP, it would be a nice touch.
I would like to be able to set the default page for the contacts when you open a tile. Most of the time when I touch on a tile its because I just read someone’s latest status/twitter update. It would be nice to jump directly to information displayed on the tile at the time it was clicked rather than defaulting to the group list/contact info. [Posted from the 1800PocketPC app]

Market place is realy bad…apps are expansive angry birds dony update we dont have a lot of nice apps…i think i will wait 1more year until Microsoft will do somthibg about that…if they dont….sell my HTC trophy 7 and buy Android.. [Posted from the 1800PocketPC app]
