Betty Crocker Recipes now on your Windows Phone

We recently took the Epicurious App for Windows Phone for a spin and now the official Betty Crocker app gets its turn. We take a quick look at what it offers and what can be improved in this Recipes app for windows Phone.

In the app you have 3 main search options :

1. Search Recipes
2. Meal Finder
3. Browse button

In Search Recipes you just type in a name of a dish and you get all the matching results. In Meal finder you can choose up only up to a max of two ingredients and the type of dish you want and the app will give you all the recipes that match these criteria. There is a handy surprise me button in there if you are feeling a bit adventurous ;). The browse button allows you to search for all the recipes by picking one of the select few core ingredients provided within the app.

The results are displayed with a thumbnail image , rating , time involved and a short description and you can easily scroll those the entries. Clicking on one brings up the full recipe which gives you the list of ingredients , step by step instructions and nutrition information. The user can favorite this or share it via email.

So if you are looking for an easy way to get some new recipes from Betty Crocker this app will be quite handy and it’s available now from the marketplace for FREE
