Microsoft just announced a new strategic partnership. This time Microsoft has teamed up with Barns&Nobles to create a new experience of reading. Barns&Nobles will bring their Nook service into a subsidiary. The subsidiary is will build upon the strong history of both companies in digital reading technologies. The new subsidiary has yet to be named, for now it is still Newco.
The first devices that will get a new Nook app will be Windows 8 devices. B&N are targeting a market of unbelievable high potential customers. You can read the news – here.

Instagram – A beautiful way to share your world
Well, I’m still alive :), I was just not active for a while – but I’m ready with several cool stuff and concepts for Windows Phone.
Today’s concepts is for the famous photo sharing application – Instagram – A beautiful way to share your world. A long time Instagram was available only for iPhone, but recently was released and for Android Phones. All filters and community features are the same across iOS and Android but with more metro and clean interface. And this is and it is difficult to achieve – to make one big colorful program to something light and metro-like.

Metro reimagined
The current concept will take us in the future Apollo update of Windows Phone – with bigger and higher resolution screens, that will give us more information and ways to customize. I want to see a beautiful phone with a 5″ display and 1280*800 resolution till the end of the year. And here is how I imagine it.

Ways to improve the Metro interface
Today I promise for next week a really great stuff to improve the Metro interface and Metro feeling in our Windows Phones. I personally really like the current Metro interface and the Metro Start screen, but I always think there is a ways to improve and become better and better. I guess anyone interested of Windows Phone 7 is more or less a Metro fan. So far there are not many ways to change the start menu (except for a few Homebrew tools), but they make partial changes that I do not particularly like. If you have ideas for improving the Metro UI without changing its basic idea of Metro, please write in the comments below.

It’s 2012 and time for a Games of the XXX Olympiad in London this summer. The London promise a lots of fun and entertainment this year. If you are real fan, will be interested about this app – all games, sports, live news and events will be in the app right in your pocket. If you’re not from London, will probably have difficulty in traveling and finding places – so there will have build in map for all events plus Bing navigation.
