Another Windows Phone 8 Concept on a Lumia 920 |

We ran our own Windows Phone Metro redesign concept for Windows Phone 8 last week and now here comes a Windows Phone 8 concept from yronimus. Now remember this is just a concept and here is what the designer thinks the device should be powered by : The Nokia Lumia PureView 920 is a Windows Phone 8 Apollo device with a 12 megapixel PureView camera and a quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, there will be 2 models a 32 and 64 GB one. 2000mAh battery and the an 4.3″ AMOLED Display with 1280×720 px display resolution.

So what do you guys think ? Thanks for the TIP Jake.

UPDATE: you can get a somewhat similar interface using this method on current devices Categorize Windows Phone Home Screen Tiles

as always you can find more concepts on our Windows Phone App ( click for FREE Download ).

That’s a beautiful concept phone. [Posted from the 1800PocketPC app]

  2. Victor Roos

He kept more of the original Os, which I wouldn’t mind :) [Posted from the 1800PocketPC app]

Needs to be 1280×768 to keep the same aspect ratio as WP7. Also the screen would likely be 4.5″ to accommodate the higher resolution and make use of the real estate available by removing hardware buttons. 2GB of RAM is very unrealistic right now.

Otherwise this concept is awesome although I’m praying for a folders solution that isn’t actually folders.

I like the hardware, but not sure if not having capacative buttons is a good idea unless the OS has that built in into the display. Does make it look leaner and sexier.

As for the tile grouping, I think the groups should be accessible through side to side wiping, not dividing them vertically as shown in the concept.

    wow, i like it

  6. JFR

Wowe, love it. Really love it.

  7. Tariq

Doesnt this app do this already (I mean for the categorization of the tiles)

    • Saijo George

yes I believe it does :), except for the landscape mode

    • Shahin

Thanks, just picked this up. =D

Take a leaf out of the Galaxy Nexus, I prefer the home buttons there, on-screen is something I believe everybody will be moving to, it looks a whole lot better.

  9. rey

i support this tile group design. it match with metro. Meh with landscape, joebelfiore said many times = phone isn’t a pc

  10. Ahmed Eltawil

I am assuming Microsoft is already working on a new similar layout for Windows Phone 8. I do agree that the tiles do need some sprucing up.

  11. TryllZ

I always wanted to know why the home screen doesnt support landscape mode when it looks cool that way too…

I wonder if someone in Microsoft looks at this concepts [Posted from the 1800PocketPC app]
