Animal Sound Box Windows Phone
We have seen many Windows Phone games for kids and it seems there are quite a few apps that are released geared towards toddlers and that is reason why there is a category on the marketplace called ” kids + family “, today we take a quick look at one of them called Animal Sound Box.
Animal Sound Box tries to get the kids to familiarize themselves with the sounds each animal / birds makes. The full version of the app gives your kids access to 18 different animal / birds : Bird, Camel, Cat, Cow, Dog, Donkey, Duck, Elephant, Frog, Horse, Goat, Lion, Owl, Peacock, Pig, Rooster, Turkey and Wolf. There is a free version which limits the number of available animals to 7 ( Bird, Cow, Duck, Goat, Horse, Peacock and Pig ) . The graphics used are cute and colorful and I would have to assume the kids are going to love it, they can activate the sound by using the accelerometer. Picking a different animal is easy as swiping across the screen. One other handy feature is the ability to change the language from the settings menu ( you can pick one of the following language English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese )
The demo version will show all the available animals but you can activate the sound only for the animals there are unlocked in the trial, so if you hand the app to a toddler you will probably end up buying the full version for for $0.99 the tot is probably going to enjoy it for some time to come. a few suggestions that I can give to the developer is probably change the text to black coz the white text is barely visible on some pages and perhaps clicking on the screen could read out the name of the animal .. ( of course the language selection should also be considered when looking to add this )
