And now for some statistics...

ChangeWave – a US pollster has suggested that Windows Phone has the potential to triple its market share in the coming periods. Yipee!!

Getting There...

What this actually translates to is – of the 4300 North Americans and assorted other people polled in September – 7% claimed that they would be “Somewhat likely” to make a WP8 device their next phone. Around 9% were definitely sure of getting a windows phone for their next purchase.

Interestingly, of the people polled more than 50% claimed that they knew the hardware device they wanted and 51% of that crowd wanted to go for a Samsung phone. Nokia with all the hoopla of being the “Main” Windows Phone partner could garner only a 35% stake in the pool.

What this means is that there IS in fact a good market for Windows Phones and Redmond just needs to tap into this market with a greater visibility and focus. What this means for Nokia though is that it needs to get its act together with the latest Lumia devices.

What do you think Microsoft should do to increase its visibility and share?
