Waze – free turn-by-turn GPS for Windows Mobile users [ Alpha testers Needed ]

Waze is here for Windows Mobile and Symbian users, Waze is the first free turn-by-turn GPS app that uses crowd sourcing to detect real time traffic conditions. Users can also communicate information to each other about whats happening on the road (police, accidents, construction, cheap gas etc) straight from their phones in real time.

Right now they are looking for alpha testers in the US who would be interested in trying the app before a public version goes online. Users can register for the alpha here: http://www.waze.com/alpha_register/

If you give it a shot let us know about your opinion about the app.

Looks like a very good idea, but it relies on an internet connection.

I downloaded it last night and I've inpressed but it is an alpha. I live out in the sticks and some of my roads are not on the map, No problem you can map missing roads. The routing is a little messed up, my drive to dinner was almost a straight shot and I was routed about 2 miles out of my way. Good thing I was only testing ;) but I see great things for this app when it goes 1.0 the alpha didn't crash, and picks up the GPS setting and sets it up flawlessly.

lol... Many wouldnt be so forgiving about an app that routes em 2 miles off target but you seem not to have been put off by it.

I love the idea behind the app and thats the reason why I have promoted this app as a sticky post. I am sure the devs will appreciate the feedback you send to them regarding the app. I am sure as more and more people use it this app will improve.

They also have users on other mobile platforms and I belive the android version of the app is not limited to the USA ....
