It is best to check the developers site to see if there is an updated version.GRemote is software by marbalon from xda-dev which turns your Touch Diamond or Touch Pro into a free-air mouse much like the Logitech MX Air. It uses 2 application a client that runs on your phone and a server which runs on your PC (both Windows and Linux). It includes both right and left click buttons and a scroll wheel, and to prevent accidental movements only transmits movement when you touch the screen.
Now with the lastest update more widgets has been introduced
- GCenter - place to select controller type
- GMouse - mouse control like Logitech MX Air (not the same)
- Touchpad - applet which emulates laptops touchpad with a scroll area (dpad centre is left mouse button, useful for drag&drop)
- GPad - especially for Media Center (generates arrow keys, Enter, Backspace, Esc, Alt+F4, StartMenu)
- GMedia - multimedia keys for Windows Media Player (VolUP, VolDown, Play/Pause,Stop,Next, Prior)
- Keyboard - Now you can use any SIP method including the hardware keyboard in HTC Touch Pro. Extra keys on screen Ctrl, Alt (three state), Esc, Del, Tab
- GRace - analogue game controller (like Wii Remote) with 2 axis and 12 buttons (7 buttons on screen and 5 hardware buttons)
The new update includes a windows installer which contains all versions (VGA, QVGA, WQVGA, WVGA) and it is installed automatically from PC, autostart option, stat menu group, and some fixes in client app. They have also added functionality for opening ports in Windows Firewall. So if you are using Windows firewall just click the button on the first tab in server application. This function works for Windows XP and Vista but on Vista you have to run GRemote application as administrator.
