WM version of Google Maps did not have “Street View” feature like the one that is going to come out on the android ( video here ). But with the following hack we can get some of the cool features on Street view on Windows Mobile devices. Some limitations are no GPS support or My Location.
- If you have a Java Midlet manager installed on your device you can skip this step, or else Install
GC Opera Pack 1.2.2 ( this will install Esmertec Jbed 20080428.2.1 and Opera Mini 4.1 ) - Download “KDKobes Google Maps Street View” place it in \My Documents
Open Esmertec Java client and it should find the jar file. Install and you should be ready to start your Google Maps “Street View” experience.

Looks like mine keeps resetting back to the option to “launch” Google Maps. When you click “Launch” it tries to load the page where you can Decline/Agree, but keeps kicking back to the previous screen where you can launch the app.
Using HTC Touch/Vogue. Any ideas?
